Mr. Walter Kingsley left Wellington last night for the South Island. Mr. S. Natuseh left Wellington last night for. the north. Mr. P. J. Nathan, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mr. C. Eskell. general manager for New Zealand of Universal Films, is visiting Auckland. Colonel A. Orsborn, chief secretary of the Salvation Army, left Wellington for the south, last night.’ Mr. W. R. Carey, general manager of the Kaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Co., Ltd., is visiting Wellington. Mr. J. L. Passmore, a member of the Broadcasting Board, is visiting Wellington.

Mr. E. M. Sladden will arrive at Wellington from the south this morning. Mr. F. W. Johnston, president of the South Island Motor Union, is a visitor to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Clayton, Auckland, were passengers from Wellington last night for the south.

Mr. A. W. Nisbet, secretary of the Wellington Manufacturers’ Association, was a passenger for the south last night. Mr. G. T. Wilson, transportation superintendent for the Railway Department, arrived at Wellington yesterday from Christchurch. Mr. 11. S. James, examiner in the Christchurch branch of the Money Order and Savings Bank, lias received notice of his promotion to the position of assistant supervisor in the Money Order ami Savings Bank at Wellington.
