THE GARRICK PLAYERS

On Monday and Tuesday “The House of a Thousand Thrills” will be presented for the first time in New Zealand by the Lower Hutt Repertory Society. The Garrick Players will be remembered for the success of “Murder on the Second Floor,” and the producer and cast have put much effort into making “The House of a Thousand Thrills” an even greater success. The author, Leslie Chadwick Browning, has written his play around a string of emeralds, known as “The Curse of Kashmire.” The plot is well plaiuied, the dialogue is brisk, and the author has given plenty of scope for the actors to show their ability in both straignt aud character parts. The play will be staged at the King George Theatre, Lower Hutt. ■
