Sympathetic references to prominent figures in the dairy industry who have died during the past 12 month*? were made at thc opening of the National Dairy Conference at Palmerston North by the chairman, Mr. A. Morton. He paid tributes to the memory of Mr. Dynes Fulton -(Hamilton). Mr. J. R. Corrigan (Ilawera), Mr. J. D. Lane (Whangaroa), and Mr. J. Marx (Mangatoki). Members of the conference stood in silence for a few moments as a mark of respect. Viscount Leverhulme is entitled to £79,000 under the will of his uncle. Mr. John Holme, of Sharpie*?, near Bolton, who died last January.
