CHILDREN’S REQUEST
Milk Supply in School
A letter from the children at Trent--Imm School stating that they wished to be allocated a milk ration was received by the Wellington Hospital Board at its meeting last night. The letter was written by one of the children, and with it was a report by a school medical officer that the majority of the children would be improved greatly in health if they were given half a pint of milk daily. It was decided to refer the question to the Smith Family and the Minister of Education. The board did not include m its scope the supply of milk to schoolchildren, said the chairman, Mr. I’. Castle. Mr. G. Y. Berry said some other hospital boards were doing It. Mr. Castle said that if Trentham .School were supplied with milk it would mean that the board would be involved with all the other schools.
