After stalking and killing six witnesses of the seven who gave evidence against him when he was charged with robbery with violence, of which he was acquitted, Radhacharan, India’s “Public Enemy No. 1.” is at large awaiting an opportunity to fulfil his vow to kill the seventh. The United Provinces police are almost entirely concentrated around the university town of Aligarh, where the trial occurred, and roads are picketed night and day.
