HOMING PIGEONS
Wellington Society’s Show
Tile Wellington Homing Pigeon Society continued its weekly shows in the clubroom, Ncwlown Avenue, the class being for young hens. Fifty-six entries were penned, representing fanciers from Hutt Valley, I’ctone, and Wellington clubs, and were judged by Mr. IL Clarke, of Ilataltai, whose awards were well received by the large attendance of fanciers and friends.
The following are the awards: A. Clements, 1 and silver cup; A. Clements, 2; N. Boyd and Son. 3; N. Boyd and Son, v.h.c.; C, Webster and Son, h.c.; W. Smith, c. The silver cup was donated by “Stan and Pals.”
The next show on Saturday night will be for old cocks and will be judged by Mr. Bert Lippitt. Admission is free to these shows.
