Perpetual Trustees Estate arid Agency .Co. Dominion Special Service. Dunedin, June 1. The directors of the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Co. of New Zealand, in submitting> the 51st annual report and balance-sheet, state that the amount brought forward. from the previous year was £3381/1/11, from which has since been paid income tax for that year, on interim dividend of £1250 for the half-year ended October 31, 1934, the company’s contribution to the staff benefit fund , and contribution to the. Mayor’s Relief Fund, leaving a balance of £731/16/4. The profit for the year just ended amounts to £6033/0/11, and the available balance is therefore £6764/17/3, which the directors recommend be dealt with as follows:—To payment of dividend of 1/- per share for half-year ended April 30, 1935, £1250; writing off premises, £258/2/9; writing off office furniture and fittings, £193/0/9; staff benefit contribution, £500; investments fluctuation account, £1250; carry forward to next year, subject to income tax for year just ended, £3313/13/9. British Tobacco Dividend The directors of the Britisli Tobacco Co. (Australia), Ltd., have advised the Stock Exchange Association that they have declared a . quarterly dividend of IJ per pent., payable on June 29. The directors of the Trustees, Executors and Agency Company, in their fifty-third annual report, state that the profit and loss account shows a net profit for the year of £2391/1/-, to which has to be added the balance of £7885/10/2 from last year, making a total at credit of £10,276/11/2. An interim dividend of 24 per cent, for the half-year ended September 30 was paid, amounting to £5OO, leaving a balane of £9776/11/2.
