X * THE THIRD LECTURE of the series under the title of “TURNED UNTO FABLES” will be delivered (God willing) in the above hall on SUNDAY, at 7 p.m., when further evidence will be produced from tiie Scriptures to show that the false and contradictory doctrines of the Churches of" Christendom literally fulfil the following prediction of the Apostle Paul: “THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THEY WILL NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE . . . THEY SHALL TURN AWAY THEIR EARS FROM THE TRUTH, AND SHALL BE TURNED UNTO FABLES” (2 Tim. 4:3-4, see al«o 2 Pet. 2:1-2, Luke 18:8, Isa. 60:2, Isa. 25:7, Jer. 16:19. etc.). The subject will be : “HELL-FIRE TORMENTS —A FABLE.” IN the course of this lecture it will be shown that the true meaning of the Hebrew and Greek originals "Sheol,” “Hades," and ‘‘Gehenna,” translated “hell,” and “hell-fire” in the Bible is in perfect harmony with such plain declarations of Holy Scripture as: — (a) ‘‘The dead know riot anything” (Ecc. 9 :5, Ecc. 9 :10, Psa. 6:5, Psa. 115: 17, Psa. 146:4). (b) ‘‘The vyages of sin is DEATH” (Roms. 6:23, Roms. 8:13, Gals. 6:8). (c) "The wicked shall PERISH . . . they shall consume, into smoke _shall they consume away” (Psa. 37:20, Job 20:5-8, Psa, 49:20, Eze. 18:4, Mai. 4:1-3). (d) "Wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to DESTRUCTION” (Jesus —Matt. 7 :13). (c) “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise PERISH” (Jesus —Luke 13 :3, seo also 2 Thess. 1:7-10, 2 Peter 2:12. etc.). Questions invited. No collection.
