Chapman, M.P., referred to the great, loss suffered by the Red Cross movement through the death of Judge Barton Payne, chaiiqnan of the board of directors. League of Red Cross Societies, and chairman of the American Red Cross Society. Also to the loss which the AVellington Red Cross Society had suffered by the death of Air. D. G. Clark, C.B.E.
