RANGITATA FROM HOME

Now Due Here 4.30 p.m. To-day The New Zealand Shipping Company yesterday received a further wireless message from its motor-liner Rangitata, en route from London to Wellington, reporting that she now expects to arrive in the stream at 4.30 p.m, to-day. She will berth at the Plpitea Wharf to land her passengers and mails and to commence discharge of her London cargo. The vessel is to leave here again next Monday for Auckland to complete discharge and to commence her Homeward loading. SOMERSET DUE TO-DAY. To complete her Homeward loading, the Federal steamer Somerset is due at Wellington at midday to-day from Auckland and will berth at the Glasgow Wharf. She is to clear here finally next Monday for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal. FISCUS DUE TO-DAY. The steamer Fiscus is due at Wellington to-day from Westport and will berth at the Taranaki Street Wharf to discharge newsprint from Nova Scotia. She will leave again on Saturday for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff to complete discharge. G. 11. Scales Ltd. are the local agents. GALE FOR AUSTRALIA. The Canterbury Steamship Company's Gale paid her last visit to Wellington, yesterday, leaving here last evening for Lyttelton, where she will be taken over by her new owners, the Belfast and Koroit Steam Navigation Company, ot Port Fairy. The Gale will bo renamed Wannon, and is to replace the Coramba. TANKER WINAMAC. With bulk motor-spirit for the AtlanticUnion Oil Company, the tanker Winamac is due at Wellington on April 16 from Sumatra, via Sydney. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. W. J. Hill has rejoined the Tamahine as chief officer, relieving Mr. F. J. Callan, who has come ashore. Air. J. K. Saint is now first officer of the Tees, in place of Mr. D. Macdonald. Mr. F. Dewhurst has been appointed mate of the Kapiti, relieving Mr. R. Hart. HUNTINGDON AT LONDON. Cabled advice has been received by the Federal Company that the Huntingdon reached London on Tuesday morning. She left Bluff on February 27 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal.

PORT FAIRY REPORTS. The C. & D. Line has received a wireless message from its motor-ship Port Fairy, en route from London via Suva, reporting that she expects to reach Dunedin at 1 p.m. to-day. She will leave there again on Saturday for Lyttelton and Bluff to complete discharge of her London cargo. CANADIAN VICTOR SAILS. The Canadian National steamer Canadian Victor having completed her loading left Bluff at midday yesterday for New York, Boston and Montreal. KARAIMEA’S ITINERARY. The Shaw, Savill motor-ship Karamca, which is due at Oamaru on April 1G in ballast from London to commence her Homeward loading, will now complete at Bluff, Port Chalmers and Wellington. She is now due here on May 2, and is to clear this port finally on May 4 for London, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. GOLDEN STATE HEAVES LOS ANGELES The O. & O. Line steamer Golden State left Los Angeles on April 3 with cargo from Pacific Coast ports for Auckland, Wellington and Australia. She is due at Auckland on April 29 and here on May 2. ERLANGEN REPORTS. The German steamer Erlangen has re-

ported by wireless that she will reach Auckland from Texas at noon to-day. After unloading a quantity of her sulphur cargo at Auckland the vessel will proceed to Australia to complete discharge. WAIRA’NGI LOADING. The new Shaw, Savill motor-ship Wairangi reached Pieton yesterday morning from Brisbane to commence her Homeward loading. She is to leave there again to-day for Napier. Waikokopu, Auckland and Wellington. The vessel is due here on April 29. and is to clear this port finally on May 2 for London, via the Panama Canal. WAIMANA CLEARS COLON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Line have received advice -that the Waimana. which left Wellington on March 13 for London, via Panama and Jamaica, sailed from Colon at 5 p.m. last Saturday.
