Sales Recorded Yesterday RETURN ON INVESTMENTS Sales recorded on Dominion Stock Exchanges yesterday are shown in the following list. In the second column is given the return based on the last annual dividend from investment at the quoted price. In calculating the return qn. shares in companies which pay their dividends outside New Zealand, the exchange rates have not been taken into consideration. BANK OF ADELAIDE Interim Dividend Unchanged The Bank of Adelaide yesterday advised the Stock Exchange Association that the directors had declared a dividend at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum on the paid-up capital fot the half-year ended March 25. The dividend, which is at an unchanged rate, is payable on May 8. Transfer books will be closed from April 25 to May 8. inclusive. Talisman Dubbo Gold Mines Speaking at the annual meeting yesterday of Talisman Dubbo Gold Mines Ltd., Mr. IV. F. McCallum, chairman of directors, said that in addition to the profit of £lll5 in hand on December 31, a further net profit of £lOOO hud been earned for the first three months of the current year. This profit was practically 20 per cent, of the capital of the company, but the directors had decided to hold over consideration of the payment of a dividend until a decision had been arrived at on the question of the company erecting its > own treatment plant.
