ANTHRAX PROBLEM SOLVED
Success of Research Work in Britain DISEASE CARRIED ON GOAT HAIR (British Official Wireless.) (Received February IS. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, February 16. The Home Secretary, Sir John Gilmour, stated to-day that experts of his Department had solved the anthrax problem, which dread disease, it bad now been found, came from goat hair imported into the country and used In many industries. For a considerable time experts had an experimental station working on the problem, and the solution found would necessitate the Home Secretary asking industries to send all imported goat hair to the centre to be disinfected, in order that risk to works handling it might be wiped’out.
