SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Fast Times at Worser Bay The annual competition for the Blick Cup was held at Worser. Bay on Sunday. This competition is .open to all members of the Worser Bay Swimming and Life Saving. Club, and a- four-man alarm is run out, the teams being decided upon by ballot. Five teams were entered, and the standard of proficiency was high, A fine swim was put up by C. Jones, beltmun for the C team, who returned fastest time, 2.40 3-5. A. Hepburn, beltman for E team, and G. Bell, beltman for D team, did 2.42. W. Richards, A team, 2.43; and N. Jones, B team, 3.21. Following are the detailed results: — B Team: N. Jones (belt), A. Norton Taylor (line), J. W. Newport (reel and captain), 81J points, 1. A Team: W. Richards (belt), GSchrader (line), G. Turney (reel and captain), 73 points, 2. C Team: C. Jones (belt), S. Walsh (line), C. Stark (reel and captain). E Team: A. Hepburn (belt), A. Haley (line), A. Gerrie (reel and captain), 7H points each, equal, 3. D Team: G. Bell (belt), J. Knowles (line), S. Dougall (reel and captain), 70i points, 5. The following club races were also held:—Third distance Lynam Cup, boys, under 14: D. Leary 1, J. Flaus 2, Smith 3. David Leary wins the cup with S points, J. Flaus being runner-up with S points and Smith third with 6 points. Third distance Atkins Cup, boys under 16: L. Flaus 1, G. Hay 2, P. King 3. G. Hay wins the cup with 9 points. L Flaus and W. Richards were second, equal, with 5 points each.
