New Plymouth, February IS. - A heavy Supreme Court list before .Mr. Justice Biair -his morning, comprised ten cases for trial against twelve accused. His Honour remarked that tlie number of indictments was rather out of proportion to tlie size of the district.’ Two cases involved alleged cattle stealing, two forgery and uttering relating to tlie time and wages of relief workers,, one a false declaration, and another asjiult causing actual bodily harm, and other charges concerned alleged acts of indecency.
