BOMBPROOF SHELTERS
Experiments in Britain (Received February 18, 12.40 a.m.) London, February 17. “Reynolds’ News” says that the Government is constructing experimentally vast bombproof shelters at strategic points on the coast, which the Air Force will shortly bomb. If the shelters prove effective, more will be built close to towns. Plans are also being prepared tor a shelter large enough to house an entire squadron of aeroplanes on a site probably near London. It is believed that tests will reveal the shelters impenetrable by any bomb yet produced.
