Theft of Raincoat from Shop Charged with stealing a parcel containing a woman’s raincoat, valued at 25/-, the property of C. Smith, LtdMarie Enwright, widow, aged 46, was fined £5 by Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in tlie Magistrate’s Court, Wellington, on Saturday. Sub-Inspector C. E. Roach said that on Friday afternoon she had picked up a parcel containing the raincoat which had been prepared for delivery to a purchaser, and then left the shop. She had been fined £5 for theft in 1929.

On a charge of stealing a boat from Leslie J. Clarke, Thomas Martin O’Brien, labourer, aged 33, and Ernest William Edward Griffin, labourer, aged 37, wore remanded until Friday next.
