TRAINING COURSE

A short training course for Y.W.C.A. secretaries is at present in session at “Ventura,” Day’s Bay. It has been planned particularly for those who have recently taken posts in different associations in New Zealand or those wlro are shortly taking up the work. The course has been in charge of Miss Jean Stevenson, national general secretary, and Miss A. M. Moncrieff, M.A., student secretary Cor the Y.W.C.A. in Peking, Chinn, The course covers such topics ns Bible study, Y.W.C.A. history and methods, club technique, adolescent psychology, etc. Special studies on “Psychology of ’Worship” and “The Place of Religious Drama” have been given by Rev, H. W. Newell. M.A. The students in residence are Misses Margaret M. Mdwson, B.A. (Auckland). Edith Hart, M.A. (Christchurch). May Kiddey (Christchurch), Estelle Bennell (■Wellington), Jean Ewing (Dunedin). Margaret Saunders (Dunediu), Runa Debbie (Dunedin). Physical training has been taken by Miss Zena Clarke. The training course will terminate on Saturday.
