Miss Ruth Barker has returned to Geraldine from Wanganui. Mrs. G. Kerr, Nelson, is the guest of Mrs. 0. N. Raine, Wanganui. Mrs. J. Stuart, Auckland, is visiting Mrs. David Mason, Wanganui. The Misses Vallance, Masterton, have returned from a visit to Plimmerton. The Misses Cameron, Masterton, are visiting Paraparaumu. Miss E. Bennett, Mastertou. is staying at Paraparaumu. Dr. Tessie Craig arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from the south. Mrs. Geoffrey Payton, Christchurch, is staying with relatives at Masterton. Miss Dorothy Avery, Lyall. Bay, is the guest of Mrs. Coyle, Remuera, Auckland. Miss Joyce Scarfe, Raetihi, is. the guest of her sister, Mrs. T. G. Hislop, Hataitai. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. McKenzie were Christchurch visitors to Wellington for the Cromb-Kelly wedding. Miss 0. Gosset, Christchurch, has been staying with her aunt, Miss J. Morison, Masterton. Miss McLean, Gisborne, .is visiting her brother, Mr. N. McLean and Mrs. McLean, Selwyn House, Wanganui. Mrs. R. E, Cuthbertson, Wanganui, will leave, this week for a holiday at Sydney and Melbourne. Miss Claudia Weston has returned from Auckand and is staying at the Midland Hotel. Mrs. Wilfred Airey, Wadestown, and her small daughter are visiting Nelson.
Mrs. W. F. Slomari, Tinakori Road, and her daughter, Mrs. John Agar, are visiting Tauranga. Mrs. Ernest Boulton arrived at Wellington from Christchurch yesterday to meet her sister, Mrs. Norman Wilkes. Mrs. E. Vogel and Miss MacDonald will leave Wellington this evening to visit Christchurch for the Cooper— David wedding. Miss Helen Abraham, who has been the guest of Mrs. F. Nancarrow, Wanganui, is now visiting Mrs. J. Stanford, Marton. Miss Esme Eliott, Christchurch, 1$ visiting Wellington and will leave tomorrow for Masterton, returning later to Wellington en route to her home. Among recent Wellington visitors to the Wanaka Hotel, Pembroke, were Mr. and Mrs. Warwick Gregory, Mrs. J. Withers, and Miss M. E. Hervey. Mrs. Withington and Miss Pamela Withington, Seatoun, Who have been spending a holiday at the Portage, have returned Some. Mrs. Harding, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. E. C. Wilford, Wanganui, has returned to Martinborough, accompanied by Mrs. Oswald Lewis. Miss O. C. McLean, who has just returned from a holiday at Melbourne, was Mrs. R. J. Franklin’s guest at Wanganui, before to Stratford. Mrs. M. J. Burns, Christchurch, will arrive at Wellington this morning, and leave later for Rotorua. She will spend some time at Wellington on her return from the north.
Mrs. F. A. Seannell, Temuka, will arrive at Wellington to-morrow and leave by the Remuera on .Saturday for a twelve months’ visit to England and Denmark.
Mesdames Thompson, Auckland, and Skipworth, Hamilton, who have been visiting their mother, Mrs. J. Knight. Wanganui, have returned to their homes.
Mrs. Rose V. Hume has returned from the south and is the guest of Dr. and Mrs. Rolland O’Regan, Boulcott Street, before leaving for her home In the Wairaraph. Mrs. W. Summerell and her small daughter, Wanganui, and Miss Joy Summerell, Palmerston North, who have been spending a holiday at Paraparaumu Beach, will leave for Wanganui this week. Cabled advice has been received in Wellington that Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Wallens and their baby daughter will arrive in New Zealand from England, via America,, next month to spend a short time in the Dominion before proceeding to Australia. Mrs. Wallens was formerly Miss Joyce Gill, Wellington.
