GORED TO DEATH BY BULL

Boxer February 12, 5.50 p.m.) Sydney, February 12. William Brown, aged 47, who was 6ft. 7in. in height and 19st. in weight, a former heavyweight boxer, was gored to death by a bull in a paddock near Robertson overnight. The body and legs were shockingly mangled. The spot where the body was found was ploughed up by the animal’s hoofs. Residents heard the roar of the bull, but were unaware 'that anything untoward was occurring. Brown is believed to have entered the paddock in order to take a short cut to his camp in the hills.
