Due Auckland 7 a.m. To-day En route from Halifax, the Canadian National steamer Canadian Scottish has reported by wireless that she expects to reach Auckland at 7 a.m. to-day. She is due at Wellington on Sunday to discharge and load, and will leave again next Tuesday for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff to complete, clearing the last-named port finally ou February 25 for New York, Boston and Halifax. — PORT OAiMPBEDL AT LONDON. Cabled advice has been received by the C. & D. Line that the Port Campbell, which left Lyttelton on December 20 for London, via Cape Horn and Montevideo, reached London last Sunday. R’KMUE'RA IN PORT. To complete -her Homeward loading, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Remuera is due at Wellington this morning from Lyttelton and will berth at the Glasgow Wharf. She Is to clear this port finally at daybreak on Saturday for London via the Panama Canal. NOR TH UiMiBER'LAND LOADING. To complete discharge otf her Liverpool cargo and to commence her Homeward loading, the Federal steamer Northumberland reached Port Chalmers yesterday morning from Lyttelton. She is to leave there again next Saturday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Napier to complete. The vessel is due here on February 22, and is lo clear Napier finally on March 6 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow, via the Panama Canal. WAIMANA LEAVE'S GLADSTONE. Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw, Savill Company that the Waiinana left Gladstone on Monday afternoon for Oamaru, where she is due on Sunday afternoon to commence her Homeward loading. ARDENVOHR LEAVES AUCKLAND. To continue disharge of her New York cargo, the A. & A. Line chartered motorship Ardenvohr left Auckland yesterday for Wellington. She is expected here to-mor-row afternoon, and is to leave again next Monday for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia to complete discharge. The Ardenvohr will then return to New Zealand under charter to G. H. Scales, Ltd., to- load wool for Dunkirk, London and Hull. TURAKINA LEAVES CURACAO. The Federal Company has received cabled advice that the Turakina. en route from Liverpool to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, cleared Curacao last Saturday. She is due at Auckland on March 7 and here on March 11. TAINUI LOADING. Having completed discharge of her London cargo, the Shaw, Savill liner Tainui is to commence her Homeward loading at Port Chalmers to-day. She is to leave there again to-morrow for Bluff. Lyttelton and Wellington' to complete. The vessel is due here on February 32, and is to clear this port finally on March 6 for Southampton and London via the Panama Canal and Kingston. Graham. PORT CURTIS IN BALLAST. Cabled advice has been received by the C it D. Line that the Port Curtis left New-castle-ou-Tyiie hist Saturday in ballast for New Zealand, via the Cape of Good Hope. She Is due in New Zealand on April 1 to load Homeward. HUNTINGDON TO-DAY. The Federal steamer Huntingdon was to have left Napier late last night for Wellington. and Is due here this afternoon to continue her Homeward loading. She will berth at the King’s Wharf, and is to leave here again on Friday for Lyttelton, Bluff and Port Chalmers to complete. The Huntingdon is to clear Port Chalmers finally on February 23 for London, Avonmoutn. Liverpool and Glasgow. MARIPOSA LEAVES HONOLULU. The Matson liner Mariposa, en route from San Francisco and Los Angeles, left Honolulu on Monday for I’ago Pago. Suva, Auckland. Svdney and Melbourne. She is due at Auckland on February 22. TRAWLER SOUTH SEA. The trawler South Sea is due at Wellington this evening from the Chatham Islands and will berth at the Taranaki Street Wharf. She is to leave here again on Friday for the Chathams. THE CANADIAN CRUISER. Tlie Canadian National steamer Canadian Cruiser is now due at Wellington from Australia to load next Tuesday. She will leave here again the following day for Napier to complete, and clears there on February 23 for New York. Boston and Halifax. SPEED OF ITALIAN LINERS. The Italian Government has published details of a new premium scheme for increasing the speed of liners. The scheme will applv only to vessels of 18,000 tons gross, built in Italian yards, and which have not already had the benefit of the premium provided for in the Law of 1929. To qualify for the premium the speed of the vessels.is to be increased by alteration to I lie hull or machinery. The alterations, which must be completed before June 30. 1938. must increase the speed on trials to at least 20 knots. The new speed is to be at least three knots higher than the vessel’s average during the voyages made in the 12 months previous to the publication of the decree. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
