Still mostly fine and warm. Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for 24 hours ending 4 p.m. to-day Pressure is high over the South Island but relatively low in the North. A tropical cyclone is centred near Rarotonga. , Forecast: Winds between south and east; strong on parts of the east coast, otheiSeas rathejr rough in Cook Strait and on parts of the east coast; elsewhere in New Zealand waters smooth to moderate. . Light to moderate east to north-cast winds prevailing in the eastern Tasman Sea, seas smooth to moderate. . ~ Weather still for the most part fine and warm, but scattered rams are probable on tbb cast coast and in the far north of the North Island. Rainfall at “The Dominion” Building for 24 hours ended at midnight last night: Nil. Rainfall during February: .330 inches. Shade temperature at “The Dominion Building durmg_24 hours ended at midnight last night: Maximum, 74 degrees; minimum, 6o degrees.
