MISSING LAUNCH

Failure of Engine The absence of the launch Vagabond, which left Wellington on Saturday for a fishing expedition to the heads, gave some cause for alarm, especially when the vessel did not return on Sunday. The launch and its crew, Messrs Arthur Holmes, R. Evatt, W. Brown and C. Radcliffe, were picked up by Mr. E. W. Lamberg and returned safely at about 6.36 p.m. yesterday. Magneto trouble was the cause of the delay, and owing to the absence of wind, sail could not be raised. The situation did not give any of the crew any cause for alarm, however. Mr. Holmes stated that conditions were very calm and peaceful, and that all enjoyed themselves very much.
