TO-DAY’S MATCH AT BASIN RESERVE
North v. South Cricket THREE RESERVES CHOSEN Providing the weather holds, a large attendance is expected at the Basin Reserve this morning when the three-day cricket match, North Island v. South Island, will begin. The teams are as follow: — North Island.—H. G. Vivian (captain), P. E. Whitelaw, E. W. Tindill, J. Ell, J. R. Lamason, V. Sale, M. Wallace, W. Tricklebank, J. Cowie, M. Sharp, and E. D. Blundell. South Island.—F. W. Bellamy, I. B. Cromb, O. J. Oliver, 11. Graham, K. Uttley, W. A. Hadlee, S. Eime'S, C. K. Jackman, J. A. Dunning, D. A. 11. Moloney and S. Andrews. Three Wellington players, all members of the Kilbirnie club, have been chosen to act as reserves. They are C. Parsloe, S. Ward and B. Griffiths, and they will also probably act in the same capacity for the South Island team. Mr. W. H. Winsor, secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, will act as manager for both teams. The umpires will be Messrs. L. T. Cobcroft and 0. Moore. The hours of play will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a luncheon adjournment from 1 p.m. to 1.45 p.m., with tea from 3.45 p.m. to 4 p.m.
