Nesbitt, Australian Trade Commissioner, was a passenger for the south on Saturday evening. Wing Commander T. M. Wilkes, Director of Air Services, has returned to Wellington from the south. Mr. C. P. Agar, Christchurch, left for the south on Saturday evening. The Rev. A. Rugby Pratt arrived at ■Wellington from the south on Saturday. Mr. W. Hustler Smith has returned to Wellington from the south. Mr. Norton Francis left Wellington ou Saturday evening for Christchurch. Dr. E. F. D’Ath, Dunedin, arrived at Wellington yesterday from the south. Pastor A. H. Piper arrived at Wellington yesterday from the south. Dr. C. M. Greenslade arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Dunedin. Mr. A. W. Duncan, accompanied by Mrs. Duncan, has returned to Wellington from the south. Dr. A. F. Cowan, Akaroa, left Wellington on Saturday evening .for the south. Mr. A. W. Wellsted, commercial manager of the Railway Department, has returned to Wellington from the Soutli Island. Count and Countess de Ganay, M. and Mm 4. van de Broer d’Ohrenan, and M. Jean Ratisbonne, of France, are staying at the Hotel St. George. Mr, G. 0. Godfrey, Unemployment Commissioner, and Mr. W. Bromley, deputy chairman of the Unemployment Board, have returned to Wellington from the South Island. Professor Norman Collie, of London University, is visiting Mount Cook and tlie southern lakes. He is a former president of the Royal Alpine Club. Flying Officer A. H. Fear, formerly of Wellington, has been appointed to No. 2 Army Co-operation Air Squadron, R.A.F., at Mansion, Dorset. Dr. Joiin Pliminer and Mr. W. Crawford Burt will leave for the south this evening on a visit to Christchurch and Dunedin. They will motor to Dunedin from Christchurch, and on the return journey will travel by way of Kaikoura and Picton.
