“Heresy” Hunt in Russia EXPULSIONS' FROM PARTY (Received January 20, 6.30 p.m.) Moscow, January 19. A rigorous campaign is being waged throughout Russia against so-called Communist heresy. Men are being removed from positions and expelled from the Communist Party. Many students have been expelled from universities for remarks not strictly in accordance with party dictates. ADMITTED TO ASYLUM Report About Executioner (Received January 20, 11.20 p.in.) Berlin, January 20. The Soviet executioner, Ivanoff, is reported to have been admitted to an asylum after carrying out 100 executions in connection with the assassination of M. Kirov. His successor is Chinese.
