HUTT VALLEY NEWS
Interesting figures were made known by the Mayor of Upper Hutt, Mr. A. J. McCurdy, recently, when he stated that the area of Maidstone Park was 147 acres, 28 of which were flat. This is greater than the Basin Reserve (9i acres), the Botanical Gardens (64) acres), Karori Park (54 acres) and Newtown Park (164 acres) put together.
No races were sailed by the Heretaunga Boating Club over the weekend as the craft are being got ready for the Idle Along championship at Evans Bay and the Duncan and Tauranga cups next week.
