FORECAST FOR TO-DAY’S WEATHER.

Warm and fair, with rain to follow. Following is the weather report a.id forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for 24 hours ending at 4 p.m. to-day :— The recent anti-cyclone is now centred east of the Dominion. A sharp low pressure wave has been crossing southern New Zealand to-day, while an extensive depression is located over the north-west Tasman Sea. , Forecast - Moderate to strong northerly winds reaching gale force at places especially about and south of Cook Strait; backing to southerly m the tar south, and southerlies extending up as far as Cook Strait within the next -1 hoi is.
