Sydney, November 30. Gerald Griffin, aged 28, salesman, of New Zealand, was convicted to-day and sentenced to six months’ imprisonment on a charge cf being a prohibited immigrant. A Customs officer, Richard Wilson, "■ave evidence that Griffin was submit* ted to a dictation test in Dutch, Griffin replying, "On the advice of my solicitor I object to these proceedings. The magistrate said he would leave it. to the Crown authorities to determine when sentence should expire.
