HARMONIC SOCIETY

On Tuesday evening next, in the Concert Chnm'ber, Town Hail, the Wellington Harmonic Society (conductor Mr. H. Temple White) will give the final concert of its 1934 Reason. An excellent programme has been arranged, containing several numbers new to a Wellington audience. Among others, the choir will sing “The Laird o’ Cockpen” (Roberton),.“The Fay’s Song” (Massi). “O Wild West Wind” (Elgar). “O That the Learned Poets,” a madrigal by Orlando Gibbons, and a eltoral fantasia. “The Beggar’s Opera” (arr. Jacobson). Assisting the society will be an instrumental trio (W. McLean, violin; S. McLean, 'cello; Ormi Reid, piano), Molly Atkinson (mezzo-soprano), W. Roy Hill (tenor) and Mr. C. W. Svensen.
