Mr. S. N. Ziman, M.A.. M.Sc., of Cambridge, who is one of the Rliodes Scholilrship selection committee is visiting Wellington.
Mr. It. C. Addison, inspector of the Bank of New South W’ales in New Zealand, who is returning from England witli’ Mrs. Addison, arrived at Fremantle in the Oraina last. Sunday, and is expected to arrive at Wellington on December 18.
Mr. S. W. Jameson, Christchurch, lias been appointed by the management committee of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association to act as a delegate to the Council of tlie New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association in Wellington.
Mr. C. H. Burson, Christchurch, lias been returned unopposed as president of tlie Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association for tlie coming year. He has been a member of the association’s executive for ten years. Mr. H. H. Rodd, the new manager ef the Christchurch branch of the Commercial Bank of Australia Ltd., Ims arrived at Christcliurch to take up ins duties. He will replace Mr. R. H. J. Ctmini, wlio will leave for Australia lo take up Ihe iippoiiitment of manager of tlie Adelaide branch of the bank. Mr. Rodd was formerly the manager ef tlie branch bank at Prahran, a Melbourne suburb. This is his first visit to New Zealand. Mr. Rodd started his blinking career at Ballarat, and in tlie last eighteen years has been stationed in offices in four of the Australian States —Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.
