No Stranger to New Zealand At least one member of the Duke of Gloucester’s staff will be on familiar soil when he reaches New Zealand on December 15. lie is the private secretary to his Royal Highness, Captain Arthur Randolph Wormeley Curtis, CM.G., C.V.0.. M.C., 8.A., who was secretary to Earl Jellieoe during his term as Governor-General of New Zealand (.1920-1924).* Captain Curtis, who is a sou of Mr. O. S. Curtis, was educated at Eton and nt Trinity College, Cambridge. During the great war he sewed in the I.lth Hussars, and was at one time attached to the Royal Flying Corps. When in New Zealand he was accounted a first-class sport, being a good polo player and golfer, and sharing with Earl Jellieoe a love of cricket, lie was concerned in several matches played on the Wellington College ground. Among the clubs of which Captain Curtis is a member is the Marylehone Cricket Club. Others are the Cavalry and Royal and Ancient at St. Andrews. After leaving NewZealand, Captain Curtis served as military secretary to Lord Stonehaven, Governor-General of Australia.
