In Australia Hie Duke of Gloucester is proving himself to be extremely popular witli children. A Melbourne man who arrived in Christchurch on 'Tuesday, and who saw the reception given to his Koyal Highness in Melbourne and Sydney, said that the Duke seemed to be naturally attracted to young people. This had deeply impressed the Australians. During his progress through the States, whenever bis Koyal Highness met with a crowd of children, he Invariably had the vehicle in which be was travelling slowed down so that he could see them and wave to them. The Australian children had taken their Koyal guest very much to their hearts. There are now more than 5000 women doctors on the Medical Register in Britain.
