Inter-Departmental Teams Teams from the National Provident Insurance and the Pensions Department met at Kelburn Park on . Wednesday afternoon in their annual cricket match. The game was won by the Pensions Department bv 56 runs, the scores being:— Pensions 176. and National provident 123. 'rhe best performances were as follow : Pensions.—'Batting: Mount 35 retired, Milliken 28 not out. Waters 25, Paul 19, Kennedy 17. Bowling: Baynes took live for 25, Milliken three for 36, Granger two for 6. . National Provident. —Batting: Carruthers 31, Barren 29, Denby 18. _Bow.ing: Carruthers took two for 40, and Barren three for 62.
