TALK ON MUSIC

On Wednesday, October 31, members of the Lyceum Club were entertained by Miss Valerie Corliss with a talk on the evolution of music through the centuries, starting with song as the natural expression of the emotions, the invention of musical instruments, and the combination of these producing the perfect orchestras of to-day. Miss Corliss illustrated her talk with compositions of various composers Interpreted by Miss Moncrjeff, Miss Eileen Clark and Miss La Roche (piano), and Miss Molly Atkinson (songs). In the absence of the president, Mrs. W. G, Crawford welcomed the guests and at the close Mrs. E. M. Sample proposed a vote of thanks for a delightful evening.- Supper was served.
