Otago Boys’ High School Sports' By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin. October 31. Eleven records’were broken at the Otago Boys’ High School annual sports to-day.. - , ’ It. G. Mahony covered the 120 yards hurdles in lit 1-bsec. The previous record of lOsec. was made by Mahony. In the pole vault, Mahony cleared 9ft.. bettering his own previous record of Bft. lOiri. In the hop, step and jump Mahony broke his previous record of -lift. OJin., his distance being 43ft. s}ln.

In the junior cup events for boys under 15, I. M. Chandler broke the existing 1 record, for-tUe high jump of 4ft, Ilin, with a jump of sft. lin. In the long jump he covered 19ft. 4lin.. the previous best being ISft. 2in. Chand-, ler’s time for the 100 yards was 10 4-5 sec., being l-ssec. better than the previous record. In the 220 yards be improved on the existing record of 25 2-5 sec. by 3-ssec. A new school record for 100 yards ■was established by A. B. Botting, who Improved on, his own previous record of 10 2-ssec. by'covering the distance in 10 l-sscc. ' '

C. McGregor won the 100 yards under 14 in 11 3-ssec„ the previous record of 12sec, having stood since 1896. McGregor also won the 220 yards in 25 4-ssec.. the previous record being 28sec. A. S. Geary won the 440 yards for boys under 16 in 56 4-ssec., the previous record being 58 3-ssec.
