October 28, 1934, at 4 p.m. - A slight anti-cyclone is crossing the Dominion, but a fresh depression is approaching from the Tasman Sea. . „ , Forecast: Freshening northerly winds., becoming strong about and south of Cook Strait; backing to southerly within the next 21 to 36 hours. Seas rough south of Cape Egmont, and rising in Cook and Foveaux Straits, whore moderate in New Zealand waters. * Moderate to strong northerly winds, backing to westerly and later to southerly, in the eastern Tasman Sea; seas rather rough. Weather becoming unsettled again soon in districts with a westerly w, h change. ■ ■ : I •
