BRITISH SAILORS’ SOCIETY

An enjoyable entertainment was presented at the rooms of the British Sailors’ Society on Wednesday to a large audience of seamen and friends. The programme was arranged by Miss Joan Harris, and consisted of pianoforte solos, elocutionary and dancing items, recitations, mandolin and banjo solos, vocal solos and duels, and concluded with a com nt unity sing. Items were contributed by Mesilamos Edmondson and Blamley. Misses Phillips. Meta McKenmi. Judy Cooper. Esme Crow. Rela Warner. Valeric Rumble, and Messrs. Wilson, Edmondson. Joss. Jack Harris, Keith Woolle’tt. B. Green. Lloyd ami Bromley, Mrs. Edmondson was tlie accompanist. At the conclusion a vote of thanks to Miss Harris and party was carried with acclamation.
