TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST.

Meteorological Office, Wellington, Sunday, October 14, 1934, at 4 p.m. A shallow depression has been crossing the Dominion to-day, while a moderate anti-cyclone is approaching from the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Strong north-westerly winds at first in north Auckland, otherwise southerlies prevailing, light to moderate mainly, but strong in a few exposed

positions. Seas rather rough, but decreasing north of Cape Egmont and East Cape; elsewhere smooth to moderate in New Zealand waters. Light to moderate southerly winds in the eastern Tasman Sea, veering to westerlies in the southern portion. Seas smooth to moderate. Weather dull and misty, with further rain in most districts, but a fairly general improvement likely to-morrow. Cool temperatures.
