POOR RESPONSE
Street Collection Result
Disappointing
The public made a poor response to the Rev. T. Fielden Taylor’s appeal on behalf of the massed bands and Wellington City Mission, as was evinced by the results of the street collection yesterday. The takings amounted in all to only £67. The Rev. Fielden Taylor’s comment on this was, “Rotten ! Rotten! It was not worth doing.”
