ARMISTICE DAY

Observance on Sunday (Received September 16, 7.30 p.m.) London, September 15. As Armistice Day is falling on a Sunday, the Archbishop of Canterbury has sent a letter to the bishops which says that he has .communicated with the Government regarding the King’s wishes. It is hoped that religious services will specially refer to memories, hopes and resolves surrounding Armistice Day, while it will be arranged to enable the silence to be observed within The churches exactly at 11 a.in. The letter adds: "I am communicating with other religious communions.” ■
