LORD BLEDISLOE’S GIFT
By the generosity of the GovernorGeneral. Lord Bledisloe, who has presented a challenge cup for annual competition, the New Zealand open golf championship will acquire an additional interest to amateur players. The offer of the trophy was made to the New Zealand Golf Council by Lord Bledisloe, and the council was very pleased to accept the offer. Tlie cup will be known as the Bledisloe Cup, and will be held annually by the amateur player who returns the best aggregate score in the four rounds of the open championship. It will he competed for for the first time at Wanganui on October 5,6, and 8. "
