WEDDING.
Wall—Melville St. Andrew’s Church, Wanganui, was beautifully decorated for the wedding on Wednesday afternoon of Evelyn F. Melville, niece of Mrs. M. D. Smith, Wanganui, to Mr. T. W. Wall, Waverley. The bride, who entered the church with Mr. George Scott, wore a frock of beige matalasse, trimmed with buttons and loops. Her hat toned with the frock, and her bouquet was of Iceland poppies and carnations. She was attended by Miss Bessie McGregor, who was wearing a dress of pomegranate cheek suede crepe, the skirt and neckline ilnished with small accordionpleated frills. .Her black hat had touches of the same colour as the frock, and she carried a. bouquet of anemones. The Rev. Hugh Begg performed the ceremony and Mr. Oswald Howell, Waverley, supported the bridegroom. After the ceremony a guard of honour was formed by the members of St. Andrew’s Bible classes, of which Miss Melville had been honorary secretary and treasurer for a long period. A reception was held in the church hall, where the decorations of blue and gold had been, carried out by the Bible class members. London Weddings Two weddings 6f interest to Wellington people-took place in England last month. At Little St. Mary’s Church, Cambridge, John Richmond Oliver, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oliver, Wellington, was married to Mary Caroline, sixth daughter of the late Colonel Bertram Hopkinson, 0.M.G., F.R.S., R.A.F., formerly Professor of Mechanism and Applied Mechanics in the University of Cambridge, and Mrs. .Hopkinson, Cambridge. On July 17 the wedding was solemnised at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue. London, of Kenneth Grenville Montagu, only son of Mr. and the Hon. Mrs. Reginald Myer, to Roma Foster, younger daughter of the late James Robert Raw, J.P., and Mrs. Raw, of Kelburn, Wellington. CARTER’S WOOL SHOPS.
