Miss G. Chapman, Auckland, is visiting Masterton. and is staying with Mrs. S. V. Gooding, Misses Browning and McNiven have returned to Wanganui from Wellington.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Jenkins have returned to Wanganui from a trip to Suva.
Mrs. J. H. Hall, Kelburn, is staying in Christchurch, where she is the guest iof her sister, Mrs. J. W. Niven. Mrs. 11. B. Oakes, "Wellington, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. C. W. Haines,. Palmerston North.
Miss Jessie Elliott returned front- a visit to Christchurch yesterday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Fussell, Gladston Terrace, left by the Makura on Tuesday for a trip to Melbourne. / Mr. and Mrs. It. Sinel, Island Bay, who have been visiting Napier, are now in Auckland. Miss Connie Mason, who has been a member of the Wellington Hospital staff, is leaving for England by the Port Fairy on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. McClure and Miss Bona McClure, Feilding, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. McDonald, Wanga* Dili. , Miss Ana Poma re, who has been spending the last three months in Gisborne, has returned to her home at Lower Hutt.;,
'Mrs. Bryan Todd, Selwyn Terrace, left last evening for Auckland to join the Monterey, which leaves on Saturday for America. . Miss Cara Johnston will leave England by the Ruahine at the beginning of October on her return to New Zealand.
Miss Ashcroft, "Wellington, has been appointed infant mistress at the Dannevirke South school vice Miss Brewer, who has retired from the teaching profession. Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Riddiford and Miss Pamela Riddiford are leaving England about the middle of next' month by the Rangitikl, and will arrive in Wellington, toward the end of October. .. . . ..
Mrs. Bryan Trolove, Marlborough, will arrive in Wellington to-day to spend the week-end with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Hislop, Easdale Street, and to say good J bye to her brother, Dr. J. C. Hislop, who is leaving for England on Saturday.
