Stud Sale at Gisborne

Thirteen polled Hereford bulls from Humphreys’ Wileneote Stud were sold yesterday, averaging 74 J guineas. Buyers from Australia and all over the North Island were represented. The top price for eleven two-year-olds was 133 guineas, for Royal Gem 23rd, bought by Dalgetys for Australia. The yearling Dandy Gem was bought by Mr. H. Barker, Gisborne, at 121 guineas, against Australian competition. Other buyers were Messrs.. 11. K. Rendell. Morrlusville. 60 guineas; F. J. Soler, Marton, 85 guineas; Beamish Brothers. Hawke’s Bay, 90 guineas; 11. B..Stuckey. Dnnnevlrke, 50 guineas; L. Jex-Blake, Gisborne, 70 guineas; W. B. Whyte, Hawke’s Bay. 50 guineas: Sir Andrew Russell. Hawke’s Bay, 90 guineas; I), and M. Campbell, Gisborne, 86 guineas ; ,R. E. Jefferson,‘Wairoa, 50 guineas; G. Livingstone, Hawke’s Bay, 40 gluneas; M. R. Shaw, Morere, 40 guineas.
