MOVIE BALL

The “movie ball” held in the Elrick rooms. Wapgnnui, on Thursday evening. was a delightful novelty, and the many who attended spent an amusing evening. Dozens of film stars were impersonated, and the judges, Mesoames Russell Grace, G. Cleland, and Mr. N. James, had a difficult task. The committee comprised Mesdames H. D. Robertson. A. H. E. Wall, H. Keesing, J. Millward, and Messrs. Ashford, McNaught, and R. Melkle. The rooms were decorated for the occasion with hundreds of photos and posters of the stars of filmland.- The large posters were the work of Mr. D. Snelling. Balloons were also lavishly used for decorations. Supper was served in the basement, also decorated with posters, and masses of Iceland poppies. Miss Evelyn Wright gave an exhibition Spanish dance, and two ballets by the Wright School of Dancing and the pupils of Miss Audrey Johnson were appreciated by the onlookers.
