Dunedin Hold-up Ends

i SETTLEMENT REACHED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, July 27. The dispute which arose between the seamen of six vessels In port and the shipowners on Thursday was satisfactorily settled this afternoon. The conditions of the new agreement were the cause of the hold-up. The seamen of all the ships Involved mot this ’afternoon, the secretary of the Dunedin branch of the Seamen’s Union being present. After a session of nearly two hours a settlement was reached, and it was announced that the majority of the vessels would sail this evening. \ The Storm sailed at 6 p.m, for northern ports, the Walplata ut 6.20 p.m. for Bluff, the Port Whnngarei at 7 p.m. for Auckland and Whangnrel, via ports, and the Totara later for Tlmaru. The Parero. will sail tomorrow for Wanganui, New Plymouth and port Waikato, via ports- The .Wai runa will sail to-morrow morning for Melbourne and Sydney to discharge the remainder of her cargo from Vancouver.
