VOTIOE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Hutt County Council to introduce in the present Session. of Parliament a Local Bill, viz.;— WHEREAS the County of Hutt by reason of its propinquity to the City of Wellington and its Suburbs suffers to an extraordinary extent from rating exemptions in respect of schools and in respect of waterworks and other reserves and recreation areas owned' by other local authorities. AND WHEREAS by reason of such rating exemptions the ratepayers of the said County have imposed upon them an unfair burden which it is expedient to remove. ■ BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED as follows:—1. This Act shall be called “The Hutt County Rating Act, 1934.” 2. Notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, no rating exemption shall apply to any land within the County of Hutt except land vested in bis Majesty the King and buildings used exclusively for divine worship and the sites thereof. 3. For rating purposes within the County of Hutt all rateable lands, and all interests therein, shall be valued irrespective of any restrictions on the use thereof. 3a. For rat’ng purposes within the County of Hutt Section 52 of the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, shall not apply. 4. The Valuer-General from time to time shall make such amendments to the Valuation Roll supplied to the Hutt County Council for rating .purposes as may be necessary to give effect to this Act. A copy of the Bill has been deposited in the Magistrate's Court, Wellington, and another cony at the Office of the Hutt Countj- Council, Bowen Street. Wellington. Such copies of the Local Bill are open for public inspection during office hours, without fee, until Monday, the 13th day of August, 1934. Dated nt Wellington this 21st day of July, 1034. H. R.
