INKLING’S ADVENTURES —Drawn by Annette Strickland.

Inkling decided to go holidaying last week, so he packed his suitcase, took his large umbrella in case it rained, and set off. He was feeling immenselypleased with life as he bought his ticket and bopped into a carriage.

He sat down opposite a nice gentleman who was all covered up by a rug and a newspaper. Inkling ate a banana and gazed out of the window, rather wishing that it would rain, so that he could use bis umbrella.

Sure enough, the 'sky darkened and a swift rain soon fell. At the next station our little elf hopped out and met a friend of his. They talked for a while under the umbrella and then the guard cried, “All aboard." Inkling rushed forward and sprang on a train.

He rushed through the carriages and looked for his old gentleman. He couldn’t find him anywhere and suddenly he saw a label on someone’s case "To Wellington.” "Horrors.” he gasped, "rm on the wrong train. This one is taking me home again 1"
