Third Quarterly Sessions PERSONS TO STAND TRIAL Twelve cases involving 14 persons are set down for the third quarterly criminal sessions of the Supremo Court, which will open at Wellington on Monday. The list, which is rather longer than usual, contains three eases involving alleged negligent driving, while there are two cases of alleged breaking, entering and theft. A former Wellington solicitor will stand his trial on a charge of theft arising out of trust account transactions, and considerable interest will attach to the trial of the man who is alleged to have held up a postal official at Newtown recently and taken a sum of money tit revolver point. The list is as follows, the charge preferred being stated in each case:— Robert Donaldson, breaking, entering and theft. Norman Roy Hawthorn, unlawful carnal knowledge. William Murphy and Thomas Joseph O’Shea, breaking, entering and theft. Bertram Stanford, unlawful carnal knowledge. George Alexander Low, theft. Cyril John Steer, negligently driving a motor vehicle, and thereby causing death. Stanley Keith Swan, negligently driving a motor vehicle, and thereby causing death. William Perry Holllngs, theft. William Alexander Crossan, robbery while armed with an offensive weapon. John Paton Hardy and John Augustus Jeanes, conspiring to defraud. George Milner, indecent assault on another male. Cyril Farquhar Chapman, negligent driving causing bodily injury.
