WOMEN’S INSTITUTES

An Interesting Display In connection with the annual conference of the Dominion Federation of New Zealand Women’s Institutes, to be held in Wellington next week, there will be a display of handcrafts and antiques. The exhibits will embrace a wide range of articles, including, among other things, skin-curing,, hand-made rugs, thrift articles and antiques. The display, which will be held in the Masonic Hall, Wellington Terrace, will be open to the public on Wednesday next, July 25, from noon until 7.30, and on Thursday from 8.30 a.m. until 8.30 p.m. This will be a fine opportunity for seeing that latent talent that the women’s institutes are developing among the country women of New Zealand.
